Role: In November of 2019 I was one of ten students chosen globally to workshop the implications and possibilities of large-scale 3D printing with ocean plastic. Under the guidance of Xavier de Kestelier of Hassell Studio and Manuel Jimenez García of Nagami design, we worked in groups to build a full-scale prototype. I collaborated with Sandy Curth and Christelle El Feghali on a design for a water-processing unit to be used by occupants of Beirut who are facing a water crisis. The aspects of our design were inspired by the biophilic qualities of beetle shells.
